Emily Malmstrom serves as Vice President, Chief of Staff & Communications for Comcast Spectacor. In this role, Malmstrom manages the CEO’s effectiveness, supports business and hockey executives with high-priority business goals, and leads the development and execution of the organization’s communications strategy and external affairs.

Malmstrom also serves as Dan Hilferty’s Chief of Staff in his role as Chair of the Board of Directors for Philadelphia Soccer 2026, the local Host Committee responsible for planning and executing the FIFA World Cup 2026™. She is an integral part of the organization, which executed Philadelphia’s successful bid to be one of 11 U.S. Host cities. In various capacities, she managed fundraising efforts on behalf of the Bid and raised over $40 million in financial pledges; oversaw the Executive Leadership Council, which encompassed more than 50 C-Suite executives from the Philadelphia region; and was responsible for all 501c3 operations, including but not limited to, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, and Government Affairs.

Prior to joining Comcast Spectacor, Malmstrom founded E.S.M. Consulting where she served clients including Philadelphia Soccer 2026 and Dune View Strategies, the healthcare advisory firm that Hilferty founded in 2022. From 2019 to 2022, Malmstrom worked for Athena Global Advisors, most recently as a Manager. During this time, she advised clients in the technology and sports industries and oversaw the execution of major national campaigns and events involving Fortune 50 CEOs, Olympic Gold Medalists and more.

Malmstrom started her career in sports and entertainment as a Marketing Assistant at Live Nation, where she was responsible for premium seat sales and VIP experience. Malmstrom earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
